The Perry football team will travel to Jefferson tonight for a 7:00 kickoff with Greene County.  Perry enters 1-0 after an impressive 33-18 victory over Des Moines Hoover while Greene County was shut out by Carroll 20-0.  It will be the home opener for the Rams tonight.  Perry will look to maintain an efficient offense that scored on five of six possessions last week.  The key for Perry will be to try and win the battle up front against a physical Ram defensive line led by all conference performer Michael Rumley.  The junior is a versatile player that can play both inside and outside and will cause problems for the Perry rushing attack.

Tonight marks the 93rd edition of one of Iowa’s longest standing rivalries.  Greene County has dominated the series of late, winning five straight with the last four via lopsided scores.  Greene County leads the all time series 61-29-2.  You can listen to the game tonight on KDLS with kickoff at 7:00 with Shawn Kenney.
