8:39am: Dispatch advised of a 911 Hang Up call from 301 East Madison Street. The officer learned it was an Accidental Dial.

11:41am: The Ombudsman Office requested a Welfare Check on a subject in the 400 Block of South Wilson Ave, after the subject made a threat to harm themselves during a phone call. The officers met with the subject, who advised he was fine, just made the statement in anger.

2:56pm: Joan Wolfe reported an Unauthorized Use of her Credit card at 106 West Washington Street. The officer is investigating.

3:52pm: A caller advised of a Careless Driver heading south towards Jefferson on Hwy. 4. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

4:41pm: Officers investigated a vehicle vs. School Bus Accident at Lincoln Way and Locust Streets. A Greene County School District School Bus, driven by Mavis Sawhill of Jeferson, was eastbound of East Lincoln Way Street. At the intersection of Lincoln Way and Locust Streets, a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, owned and operated by Sarah Dawn Schwery of Jefferson, was southbound on North Locust. Schwery failed to stop at the posted stop sign, and collided into the bus. The officer believes she was traveling above the speed limit during the event. Both drivers were transported by GC Ambulance to ER to be evaluated for possible injuries. The officers investigation led to the arrest of Sarah Schwery, 46 of Jefferson for, “OWI 1st Offense – Serious, Open Container/Driver – Simple, and Fail to Obey Stop Sign – Simple.” No students were on the bus at the time of the accident.

4:46pm: Joyce Morris reported numerous complaints about her neighbor at 901 East Russell Street. The officer spoke to the neighbor. Nothing illegal was occurring. Both parties were advised to ignore the other.

5:15pm: Jane Constance reported someone breaking flowers off of her bush at 400 East Head Street. The officer was busy with other calls and could not immediately respond. The officer is working to reach the complainant to gather further information.

5:29pm: Kyle Cuddy spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Issue occurring at 504 South Olive Street.

10:17pm: An officer removed debris from the roadway near Elm and 250th Street.

10:58pm: An officer located a vehicle parked in the alley in the 100 Block of East State Street. The subjects were going through area dumpsters. The officer advised them to remove the vehicle from the alley and to stay off of private property. The subjects went on their way.
