Wednesday, August 30th
12:33am: An officer located an Open Door at 900 East Hwy. 30. An employee was located inside the factory.
9:10am: Officers arrested Cody Michael Husar at 114 North Chestnut Street. Husar had an outstanding Arrest Warrant for, “Probation Violation.”
11:50am: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of South Maple Street.
2:37pm: Officers investigated an Accident at Vine and State Streets. A 2017 Buick Enclave, owned by Donald Ferguson and operated by Cheryl Ferguson of Churdan, was westbound on State Street and left the posted Stop Sign at State and Vine Streets and struck a northbound vehicle in the intersection. The 2010 Ford Focus was owned by Jerry Schultz and operated by Carol Schultz of Jefferson, and was northbound on Vine Street. The Ferguson vehicle had a reported $500.00 in damages, while the Schultz vehicle suffered a reported $3000.00 in damages. Ferguson was cited for, “Fail to Obey a Stop Sign.”
4:10pm: Dispatch advised of an Abandoned 911 Call from South Chestnut Street. The officers did not locate anyone needing assistance in the area.
5:36pm: Kay Taylor reported receiving the Publisher Clearing House Scam Phone Call. The caller advised of a huge prize she had one and requested bank account information to deposit the winnings. Taylor ended the call and did not give any information to the caller.
7:23pm: Jeremiah Goughnour reported located a Stray Dog at 703 Pinet Place. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility.
9:07pm: A Traffic Stop near 220th and Elm Streets resulted in Kayla Hoover of Fort Dodge being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”
11:10pm: A Traffic Stop near Elm and Brackett Streets resulted in Renada Fast of Prole being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability and Operation without Registration.”
