Recently New Opportunities in Guthrie County held a Back to School Supply Drive.

New Opportunities Outreach Coordinator Rhonda Huggins tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they were able to help out 57 different children with donations from the drive, and are looking to potentially help another seven. She says that the many items donated helped immensely, although there was not much cash to be spent on items. Huggins adds that they helped 10 more students than they did last year, and that they also ran out of supplies and backpacks.
