Tuesday, August 29th

12:40am: A Jefferson Officer was requested to assist a Greene County Deputy in finding a person who was reported missing and suspected to be in Jefferson. The Officer located the person and informed the Deputy of their location.

11:28am: An employee with Regency Park reported a suspected theft. The Officer is investigating.

2:11pm: A manager with Hy-Vee Grocery Store reported an incident of theft having occurred. The Officer is investigating.

3:35pm: An Officer preformed a traffic stop near the intersection of Rushview Drive and South Locust Street. As a result of the traffic stop, Jacob Brouwer of Jefferson was issued citations for “Failure to Carry Registration Card” and “Operating Non-Registered Vehicle” During the Officer’s investigation a green plant material was located in the vehicle. The suspected illegal item was seized and further charges are pending.

6:00pm: Dave Sayre of Jefferson requested a welfare check on a person in the 700 block of Rushview Drive. The Officer completed the check and found the person was not in need of assistance.

6:41pm: An Officer performed a traffic stop in the 700 block of North Elm Street. As a result of the traffic stop, Taylor Gierstorf of Jefferson was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”
