The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The Board heard an update from New Opportunities CEO Chad Jensen on services that the group provides including their problem gambling services and mental health help. New Opportunities also provides a substance abuse treatment program and Supervisor Board Chair Brian Johnson asked Jensen about drug issues in the county, and was told that meth and alcohol are steady constants along with marijuana, and that cocaine use is on the rise.
The Board then heard an update from Midwest Partnership Director Brenda Dudley on different funding opportunities that might be available. County Recorder Tristan Richard told the Board she was naming Lisa Johnson as her Deputy Recorder, and the Supervisors approved the payroll change notice to match the promotion. The Board then approved the new county credit card policy, and secondary roads direct deposit and pay procedure.
