¡Viva Perry! Latino Festival brought people from all different backgrounds to celebrate Saturday.
The events got started with a parade from 10th Street to Willis on Saturday, and then all the kid activities, music, dance performances and many food options were located in Pattee Park. Hispanics United for Perry President Rosa Gonzalez says they had many activities to keep people occupied with hula hoops, foam pit, bubble blowing, dunk tank, petting zoo and lottery.
“It’s really nice to see people that they just sit down and watch everything and they expectations are just to have fun and enjoy whatever they can. They can watch or see.”
Hispanics United for Perry also took the chance to honor Juan Meraz with annual HUPP Citizenship Award. Pictures can be found below.
