Booster member Tricia Schreck says that the club felt that the new Hudl system would be a great asset to AC/GC schools. She adds that the previous system had low quality visuals, didn’t show scores, and came with a hefty subscription fee, leading to many complaints from community members. Schreck explains that there are many alumni, family and friends that want to see how sports are going when they have games, and that the old system just was not friendly to viewers.
AC/GC Athletic Director Taylor Morris agrees with the sentiments that the cameras needed improvement, and both explain that with the new Hudl cameras, not only fans but the coaches will reap the benefits. Schreck continues that previously coaches were paying for a Hudl subscription to keep track of statistics and have film for review, but by using the Hudl system for their main cameras, there is a school contract now, and coaches do not have to pay individually, and can even film practices for review as well. The new system also offers the ability to raise funds in different ways, including a subscription service, an advertising system, or combination of the two. Morris says that this is a huge benefit for the school, and the community.
