An annual festival will be coming to Pattee Park in Perry to spread latino traditions and culture today.
The Hispanics United for Perry (HUP) have put together “Viva Perry Latino Festival,” as a way to celebrate latino customs and culture in Perry from 10am until 7pm. HUP President Rosa Gonzalez says that they have a parade, music, dance performances, food and kids activities.
“The stage will have a lot of live entertainment, live music, and through the day also, we will have a lot of activities for the kids. We’re going to have the Perry Public Library and (they) have been very kind to put together activities for the kids.”
The parade starts at 10am near the Hamlin Bell Apartments on 12th Street and make its way to Pattee Park. A full look at the activities is linked here.
