The next Jefferson Lyceum program will focus on how sports shape us.
Organizers say that sports plays a role in shaping peoples’ character and culture. Sports can provide young people with a foundation of virtue and an opportunity for mentorship from older individuals. Jefferson Lyceum asks the questions if sports can have a positive influence into adulthood and does sports fandom lead to virtue or a vice? The speakers will be Jefferson residents Bob Allen, who is a coach with Greene County High School football and Raccoon Valley Radio’s Doug Rieder, who has been broadcasting Jefferson-based sports since 1979.
The Jefferson Lyceum event will take place Monday from 7-9pm at PickAway Americana and Meeting House in Jefferson. Tickets are $10 per person and you can purchase tickets online by clicking here.
