The Guthrie County Fair is starting next week.

Wednesday will be the first day of the fair, but there’s only a few events, mainly the 4-H and FFA dog show at 5pm in the show ring. Thursday will include livestock weigh-ins from 11am to 5pm, with the Bill Riley Talent Show and a remote control car demonstration both occurring at 7pm. Then Friday will have a cribbage tournament beginning at 7am, with the swine show at 8 and horse show at 8:30am. Bacon Buddies Show and Clover Kids Show will be at 3pm and 4pm respectively, while there will be mutton busting at 5:30pm, and the rodeo will begin at 7pm.

The highlight for the next weekend features on Saturday is the truck and tractor pull starting at 5:30pm. Then next Sunday will be the induction of the 2023 Guthrie County Fair Queen, and the Zach Meacham Memorial chicken calling and throwing contest will begin at 6:30pm. Labor Day is the last day of the fair, with the Parade of Champions.
