The Perry Chamber of Commerce will just have a handful of times left to visit the summer farmers market this year.
Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says they only have five more summer farmers markets left with the last one scheduled to be on September 28th. Pasutti mentions that while it’s not over yet, there have been more shoppers, vendors and activities at every single farmers market this summer.
“We’ve seen a lot of the different currencies come through this year as vendors reimburse, get reimbursed or they turn them into us. So it’s been a great partnership with the food pantry. You know, hundreds and hundreds of dollars that they have distributed to be used at the farmer’s market. And so it’s just a really good example of great partnership, seeing a need in the community and filling it with those partnerships.”
The next summer farmers market will have a special theme that will cater towards kids, which encourages parents or guardians to bring their children for a fun scavenger hunt.
