Two members of the AC/GC FFA Chapter received some recognition recently.

James Hodges earned his American Degree, which is the highest degree the FFA organization has. Hodges has been a member of the AC/GC FFA Chapter for five years, graduating last school year. He competed in many contests, and kept a steady Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) throughout his time with the chapter. He first did a diversified livestock project with a cow calf operation and poultry production, and then kept record of his grain crops on his family farm. Hodges will receive his certificate and pin at the 96th Annual National FFA Convention and Expo on November 4th at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

AC/GC senior Isabelle Rouse was also recently recognized on a national level. She has been a member of the State FFA Band for the last two years, and after an audition in spring, was accepted to play in the National FFA Band in November, and will be able to spend a week at the National FFA Convention and Expo with some of the best musicians in the FFA organization in Indianapolis. This isn’t her first time being recognized at the national level, as she received a silver rating in veterinary science proficiency after winning at the state level last spring.
