The Des Moines Area Community College at Perry Vankirk Academy is going to get their fall semester started this week.
Academic Advisor Connie Saenz says they recently welcomed over 100 area high school students who will be taking concurrent classes. Saenz mentions that means these students will be taking DMACC college courses while they’re in high school at no charge to them. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that these college credits will be fully transferable to public and private four-year institutions.
“If they do have plans for going on to a four year college, they can start at DMACC, save a ton of money, then transfer in and continue on with their plans.”
DMACC at Perry Vankirk Academy starts school on Wednesday, August 23rd.
