A Minnesota man was recently arrested for alleged sexual abuse of a child incident when he was living in Greene County.
According to court documents, the victim’s mother contacted the Greene County Sheriff’s Office in 2021 to report a sexual assault in Rippey in late 2017 and early 2018. When a family member, who was in a relationship with the suspect, then 37-year-old Eden Marin, confronted him about the incident, court documents show he left in the middle of the night on February 8, 2021 and is believed to have fled to Mexico, and he is also an illegal immigrant.
During the investigation, the victim spoke with Child’s Voice in South Dakota and it was determined that the victim was inappropriately touched by Marin in 2017 while in Rippey and he had the victim perform a sex act as well when she was one year older when they moved to Minnesota.
Minnesota law enforcement was contacted and Marin was identified under one of his several aliases, including Rene Dominguez. A warrant was issued, charging Dominquez with a Class B Felony for second degree sexual abuse and a Class C Felony for lascivious acts with a child-foundle or touch. The now 39-year-old was found and arrested last week, and he was booked into the Greene County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
