Friday, August 18th

1:12am: An officer removed a bat from the residence at 402 West Lincoln Way Street.

12:34pm: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.

12:39pm: Jillian Anglemyer reported a dog had bit her child at Russell Park. A few minutes later a subject at 504 South Wilson Ave. advised the dog had approached her in a vicious manner, then ran to the north. The officer located the animal and its owner at 201 West Madison Street. The animal is current on Rabies Vaccinations. City Ordinance advises that the animal is deemed “Illegal” after biting a human. The dog was taken to the Animal Holding facility for a 10-Day-Quarantine Period, per state law. After the quarantine the animal must leave the city.

4:22pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 200 Block of Edgewood.

6:25pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of Ram Drive.

8:31pm: Tami Breheny spoke with an officer in connection to a Civil Issue with a vehicle.

11:42pm: A Traffic Stop in the 1700 Block of North Grimmell Road resulted in Rio Prescott of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

Saturday, August 19th

12:20am: A Traffic Stop in the 1700 Block of North Grimmell Road resulted in Jesse Wilson of Fort Dodge being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

2:37am: A caller advised that a male came to their residence and was asking for a place to temporarily stay. The subject was on foot. The officer did not locate the subject.

8:24am: Anthony Bainter reported an injured cat in his yard at 701 South Oak Street. The officer determined the cat was severely injured and transported it to the Vet Clinic to be euthanized.

11:26am: A Traffic Stop in the 700 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Colin Letting of Des Moines being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

12:40pm: Kelsey Reed advised a 21-year-old Homeless Male had befriended her juvenile son. She did not feel this was appropriate, due to the age difference. She advised the subject is hanging around Russell Park. The officer has not yet located the subject.

2:30pm: Officers and deputies responded to 202 South Maple Street, as two Autistic males were fighting. The officer worked with the family to calm the subject down and mediated the issue.

4:27pm: A caller reported a Suicidal Subject in the 200 Block of South Olive Street. The officer transported the subject to ER for an Evaluation.

8:52pm: Ashley Spaulding advised a male subject was attempting to remove items from her basement at 301 East Madison Street. The subject had fled on foot. Nothing was reported missing in the incident. The officer is investigating.

Sunday, August 20th

2:12am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 500 Block of West State Street.

4:04am: An officer responded to a Fire Alarm Activation at 100 East State Street. A keyholder arrived and no fire was located.

8:44am: A caller advised of a Stray Dog near Maple and South Streets. The officer did not locate the reported animal.

9:54am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 300 American Ave. The building was found to be secure.

12:27pm: A Traffic Stop in the 1600 Block of North Grimmell Road resulted in Michael Schlicht of Ralston being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

1:10pm: A Traffic Stop near Cedar and Adams Street resulted in Shane Coil of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

8:55pm: The Wild Rose Casino reported a male subject had been ejected for being intoxicated, and was now driving away from 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer and deputies did not locate the reported vehicle.

10:02pm: The Wild Rose casino reported an intoxicated female driving away from 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer located the vehicle and performed a Traffic Stop near 220th and Mulberry Streets. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Teresa Ann Bebb, 58 of Perry for, “OWI 1 st Offense – Serious, Fail to Carry Registration Card – Simple, and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability – Simple.”
