Cross country season is here, and with the team that Panoramas coaches, Greg Thompson and Rachel Osbahr , they are able to spend time with their athletes on smart race planning.

Right now we are working on getting that base under us. Getting good cardio, getting your legs and joints used to all that pounding, and running that’s involved.” Once the season begins the workouts will become more routine as setting a steady pace will help the athletes become consistent throughout the season.

With his athletes today he is also able to help them grow in their knowledge of their sport. Helping his athletes compete at the highest level that they can before, during, and after their meets…”Our team is mostly young kids. Mostly freshman. It’s mainly getting them to understand on hard days we want you to be going as hard as you can. On recovery days we want you to be taking it easy.” A method that helps the young team steadily progress as the long season can take a toll on their body.

The Panorama cross country team is still looking for athletes to run. They currently have 3 men runners, and 7 women runners. Their season begins on August 24.
