The West Central Valley School Board met in regular session Wednesday night.

The Board discussed several facility maintenance/repair options, and decided to add the topic to the next meeting agenda for a decision. Superintendent Rusty Shockley also informed the Board that Grandview Christian had filed for moderation to join the West Central Activities Conference, and that at this time he would be attending the moderation next week.

The Board also discussed a set up for the girls wrestling team, and decided to get quotes for installation of an elevated floor and mats in the safe room at Stuart Elementary, and would have the girls team and boys team switch who practiced there and who practiced at the high school. Shockley also informed the Board that starting this school year, districts would be able to pay for game officials through the general fund instead of the activities fund.

The Board then approved spring and summer extra duty contracts, athletic training services, and the second reading of the board policy update.
