A Jefferson man was hospitalized with injuries following a motorcycle versus deer collision Wednesday night.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash happened at 9:43pm on 250th Street, west of C Avenue in Greene County. The crash report shows 27-year-old Trevor Baugh was traveling east on 250th Street when a deer collided with his 1982 Honda NightHawk Motorcycle. Baugh suffered serious injuries and was transported to St. Anthony’s Regional Hospital in Carroll by Carroll County EMS and later was taken by air ambulance to Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
