
Fall sports got off to a perfect start for Dallas Center-Grimes High School on Monday.
The Mustang boys golf team took first place in the Jesse Peck Invitational with a team score of 307 at the Briarwood Golf Course in Ankeny. Dallas Center-Grimes outlasted the competition as they beat Ankeny by seven strokes. Junior Noah Moberg came to play as he shot two over par in 18 holes with a score of 74. Moberg placed second individually behind Ankeny’s Drew Hansen. Senior Dillion Jordan added a nice performance shooting a score of 76 which placed fourth overall ,and senior Jackson Green placed 5th individually with a score of five over par.
The calendar will continue to push forward for Mustangs as they will take on Waukee Northwest in a dual today at their home course in Grimes at Beaver Creek Golf Course.
