The high school volleyball season for the Greene County Rams begins next week and the first eight days of competition are loaded. Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s team starts the season on Aug. 22 with a trip to Dallas Center-Grimes High School for a quadrangular with DC-G, Ballard (Huxley), and Mason City. The home schedule begins with St. Edmond visiting the Rams in Jefferson on Aug. 24, followed by an Aug. 28 triangular in Boone vs. the Toreadors and Kuemper Catholic (Carroll).  Another triangular follows on Aug. 29 in in Rockwell City at South Central Calhoun middle school vs. the host Titans and Panorama Panthers.

Following that busy stretch, there’s some time off until the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference schedule begins in Jefferson on Sept. 7 with 2022 league champion Nevada visiting the Rams. The first Saturday tournament of the season is on Sept. 9 when the Rams play in Eldora at the South Hardin Tournament.
