After having to forfeit the last 3 games of the football season a year ago due to injuries and a lack of depth, the Bluejays should be back this upcoming season and have a lot more depth throughout the year. Perry had over 60 kids participate at camp this past week at Perry High School. That’ll certainly provide much more bodies to their roster as they go through this upcoming season. This will be the Bluejays first year under head coach Tyler Hovey. They will for a much improved season after going 1-9 including the 3 forfeits a year ago. They open their season on Friday, August 25th against Des Moines Hoover at Perry High School. Game is slated for a 7:30 PM kickoff right here on KDLS.
