A Perry woman was recently arrested on a warrant for theft. 

According to court documents, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office arrested 62-year-old Rhonda Gragg from Perry following an investigation of a motor vehicle collision on Sportsman Road and 240th Street in Dallas Center on July 19, 2023. The report shows that one of the vehicles involved in the collision was stolen three years ago in Dallas Center at DMC Welding and Repair. 

The stolen vehicle involved in the crash was a GMC Sierra 3500. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Samantha Whitney and she was accompanied by a passenger Rhonda Gragg. The owner of the GMC Sierra 3500 Dwight Clapper did not know Gragg or Whitney and did not give them permission to drive or possess the vehicle. 

Gragg was arrested on Friday and charged with a Class C Felony for first degree theft. She was booked into the Dallas County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
