We take a look at team statistical leaders for the AC/GC Chargers baseball team. Junior Lance Bunde led in several categories, with 76 at bats, 24 runs, 33 hits, 26 singles, 6 doubles, 41 total bases, a .434 batting average, .511 on base percentage, .539 slugging percentage and 16 stolen bases on 17 attempts. Senior Brock Littler led in many categories as well, with 4 triples, the team’s lone home run, 14 RBI’s, was walked 14 times, 36.1 innings pitched, a pitch count of 584, 137 opposing batters, an opposing batting average of .168, 47 strike outs, an ERA of 2.12 and 1.16 walks and hits per inning pitched.
Junior Andrew Mahaffey led in sacrifice bunts with 3, while freshman Blaize Dorsey and incoming freshman Colton Clark were the only ones with a sacrifice fly, with 1 each. Senior Alex Spack was the favored target by pitchers, being hit 10 times during the season, while junior Noah Kading reached on error 8 times, and out of players that appeared in more than 10 games, junior Tegan Slaybaugh was struck out only 5 times, and led in assists with 30.
Sophomore Taytum Bates led in putouts with 107, had 121 total chances, and threw out 5 runners stealing bases. A three way tie for errors was between senior Konnr Kinney, freshman Tommy Skram and Clark at 1 a piece. Konnr also led in fielding percentage with a .981, and he and Bates were the only ones that recorded stolen bases allowed, giving the rest of the team the tie for first in that category. Senior Keitn Kinney and freshman Chase Slaybaugh led in hits allowed, only allowing 4 each, and Keitn also led in runs with 4, and earned runs with 2.
Sophomore Jackson Pfrang led in walks, only allowing 2, while Dorsey led in opponents hit by pitch with 0, and Dorsey, Bunde, Keitn, Kading and Spack all tied in sacrifices allowed by not letting any occur while they were on the mound.
