From the second week of December, 2022 to the middle of May, 2023, Greene County High School’s All-State football kicker wasn’t allowed to kick because of major surgery following a leg injury playing basketball for the Rams. Nathan Behne is back at it and he told Raccoon Valley Radio he lacks a little power, but everything else is as good or better than it was prior to the injury. “I honestly think it helped me reset some bad habits that I had, so I could start fresh.”
He’s happy with how things are going into his fourth and final year of high school, all as the Rams’ varsity kicker. ” It’s been fun! Every year I get a little more comfortable with people on the team and more comfortable with opportunities on the field. I’m ready to kick some field goals this year.”
The Rams host Ogden on Aug. 18 in a scrimmage at Linduska Field in Jefferson. Admission is a sports drink. The regular season begins on Aug. 25 at Carroll Athletic Field vs. the Carroll High Tigers. All regular season and postseason Greene County football games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
