The Adel Aquatic Center will close this Sunday for the colder months ahead, but there will be one more special event.
The annual “Doggy Dip,” will be from 6 to 8pm on Sunday. Aquatic Center Supervisor Ramona Dillinger says that people will get to bring their four legged friends to the pool for an evening of fun on the final day of the pool season. She reviews some rules for pet owners.
“Dogs of all sizes will be there. So if you have a dog who maybe is aggressive, you may not want to take them off leash. Have them stay on leash or maybe consider not having them come at all. Owners are allowed to get into the water with the dogs and then they just would need to make sure that they pick up any waste if they were to happen to go to the bathroom on the grassy areas or on the concrete of our pool.”
Pet owners will pay $6 per dog they bring to the pool. For further information contact the Adel Aquatic Center.
