Kaylee Stalder is one of just two seniors on the Greene County High School volleyball team and she returns the most varsity experience. The middle hitter and back row specialist Gracie Cooklin will be counted on this season as Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s Rams will try and continue the programs’ winning ways. Greene County was 16-13 in 2021 and 16-11 last season.

Stalder played on the varsity as a freshman and was treated well by older players. Now,  it’s her turn to be a leader and she talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about that role. “I feel like it’s just about including everyone and making sure everyone feels included. Since we’re a younger team this year, even our varsity team is pretty young, we are all in the same environment together and I feel like everyone’s been working pretty hard.”

The Rams open the regular season on Aug. 22 at Dallas Center-Grimes for a quadrangular with DC-G, Ballard (Huxley), and Mason City.
