Midwest Partnership is reminding its Adair and Guthrie County members and partners of some funding opportunities.
These opportunities come from the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s Center for Rural Revitalization, which helps communities learn best practices and leverage resources. The Rural Child Care Market Study Grant supports data and analysis by rural communities and determines specific needs in those communities, while the Rural Leadership Bootcamp Grant provides training, mentorship and funding to rural communities that are engaged in leadership programs.
The BOOST Grant provides expert teams to passionate community and business leaders to assist in developing deliberate plans for the next step of growth in those areas. The Empower Rural Iowa Broadband Grant Program comes from the Office of the Chief Information Officer, and looks to reduce or eliminate areas in the state that are unserved or underserved when it comes to broadband coverage, using federal funds along with public and private partnerships where it’s possible. Some of the other grants include the Rural Innovation Grant, Rural Scale-Up Grant, Rural Enrichment Grant and Rural Housing Assessment Grant.
