3:25am: A deputy investigated a 911 hang up in the 2200 block of 250th Street.

7:32am: The Greene County Sheriff’s Office assisted by the Iowa State Patrol and a DCI agent, conducted a search warrant at 207 Stream Street, Jefferson. Suspected controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, and several firearms were seized. Charges are pending lab results.

7:35am: A deputy investigated a complaint of a company removing shingles from the wrong house in the 800 block of C Avenue. The company agreed to replace the roof as they had the wrong house.

7:36am: The Greene County Sheriff’s Office assisted by the Iowa State Patrol and the Jefferson Police Department, conducted a search warrant at 300 East State Street, Jefferson. Suspected controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were seized. Charges are pending lab results.

8:11am: A deputy investigated a parking complaint on 220th Street near K Avenue.

11:17am: A deputy investigated a theft in the 300 block of Head Street, Churdan.

1:29pm: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 100 block of Sunset Drive, Grand Junction.

2:04pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious person in the 1500 block of 225th Street.

4:47pm: The Greene County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at 741 S Avenue. Suspected controlled substances were seized. Charges are pending lab results.

11:18pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of 3rd Street, Rippey.

Wednesday, August 9th

12:04am: A deputy investigated a report of a probation violation in the 700 block of Walnut Street, Scranton.

1:01am: A deputy was advised of 3 dogs running at large in the 900 block of Eagle Street, Scranton.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
