Today is the last day of Iowa’s Tax Free Weekend.

Consumers are able to go to stores and purchase clothing items that cost under $100, and no sales tax will be applied. Some items that shoppers can pick up that aren’t included are watches, watchbands, jewelry, umbrellas, handkerchiefs, sporting equipment, skis, swim fins, roller blades or skates, and any special clothing or footwear designed primarily for athletic activity, protective use and not usually worn for everyday activities. Shops selling clothing items that the tax free status applies to and are open today, must participate in the sale.
