The Adel Parks and Recreation Department will kick off their competitive racing event today, after it got canceled in July.

Parents can sign up their child who is two to seven-years-old for the 2023 Power Wheels Nationals from 9 to 10am. Power Wheels Nationals is a racing event that gives children the opportunity to race electric vehicles in a controlled environment. The races will be open to the public and will run from 11am to 2pm at the Kinnick-Feller Park in Adel.

Adel Parks and Rec encourages people to bring their own power wheel vehicle, but they will also have community power wheels for use at this event. The race is free.
