The Adel Sweet Corn Festival Car Show will add more entertainment value this year.
The car show will be from 10am to 3pm on the north square of Adel on August 12th. Organizer Bob Purdie says that the show will have an 1980s theme, and they encourage attendees to bring their vehicles that were made in the 80s and dress in that attire. Purdie tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they hope to spice up the show with the change.
“This is the first year that we’re changing it up and making it a little bit more exciting. It’s kind of just a regular show up and show your car and walk around and enjoy the activities that Adel has to offer on that day.”
Purdie says they will have a Doc Brown impersonator from the “Back to the Future” movie make an appearance with a Deloran. He says there will also be a replica of the vehicle in the “Night Rider,” TV show at the event. Purdie notes that the car show is free with no registration needed. The car show will also be open to all makes and models.
