Friday, July 28th

4:24pm: Andrea Cronen reported a Stray Dog near 220th and Mulberry Streets. The officer did not locate the animal.

4:50pm: Gary Goodwin reported a subject had picked up a finished door at 704 East Lincoln Way Street, without paying for the service. The officer is investigating.

5:01pm: An officer responded to a Medical Alam Activation in the 1200 Block of Westwood Drive. The officer determined the subject was not at home.

7:35pm: Kyle Cuddy reported Civil Issues with a roommate.

7:53pm: A Traffic Stop near Elm and Clark Streets resulted in Lance Ross of Grand Junction being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

8:10pm: Mikkel DeMello reported receiving Threatening Text Messages from a known male, threatening to shoot up the DeMello residence. The officer’s investigation led to Arrest Warrants being requested for Cody Allen Gray, 18 of Winterset for, “Harassment 1st Degree – Aggravated.”

9:45pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 1805 North Elm Street. The building was secure.

11:32pm: A Traffic Stop near Elm and Washington Streets resulted in Claudia Avitia of Stuart being cited for, “Fail to Have a Valid Driver’s License.”

11:57pm: A Traffic Stop near Monroe and Vine Streets resulted in Merlin Serrano of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Have a Valid Driver’s License.”

Saturday, July 29th

9:40am: An officer assisted an In-home Caregiver with an agitated client in the 800 Block of South Chestnut Street.

6:13pm: Nick Harvey reported a large quantity of fruit on the roadway near 220th and Elm Streets. It appeared to have fallen out of a truck. The officer requested Jefferson Fire to come and clean the roadway.

8:38pm: Brian Mobley reported the strong odor of natural gas near Washington and Oak Street. The officer located the source of the odor coming from 302 North Oak Street. Jefferson Fire and Alliant Energy were contacted and the gas service was shut off and padlocked until repairs can be made in the residence.

Sunday, July 30th

9:06am: Maggie Havens reported a Careless Driver on Cedar Street, near Reed Street. The officer did not locate the reported driver.

10:37am: Jaimes Conrado Jr. reported an argument with his mother had led to him being asked to leave the home and not return. He had moved into a neighboring property with the family residing there. DHS is working with the family.

1:56pm: OnStar reported an activation in a vehicle located at 104 North Elm Street. The officer located the vehicle and spoke to the driver. Her children had pushed the button.

3:47pm: Grace Jahr reported Mechanical Issues with her truck and camper. She had pulled into the parking lot at 1207 North Elm Street, and advised the vehicle would be removed on 07/31/2023.

4:20pm: Millie Gallagher reported catching a Stray Dog at 703 South Vine Street. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility.

9:51pm: Tony Sparks reported his juvenile son was receiving Harassing Text Messages. The officer advised them to block the subjects.

9:53pm: An officer attempted a Traffic Stop with a vehicle near Lincoln Way and Elm Streets. The vehicle failed to stop until it reached 705 West South Street. The officer issued Alyssa Lombera of Jefferson citations for, “Fail to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle, and Fail to Maintain Registration Plate.”
