Iowa Workforce Development recently released unemployment numbers for the month of June, and all three Raccoon Valley Radio listening counties saw an increase from May.

Dallas County saw the smallest increase, climbing from 2-percent to 2.3 percent. Guthrie County saw a .5 percent increase, going from 2.5 to three-percent, and Greene County saw the largest increase, jumping from 1.8 percent to 3-percent, a 1.2 percent increase.

Both Guthrie and Greene Counties are above the 2.7 percent statewide average. In June of 2022, Dallas and Greene Counties saw an unemployment rate of 2.1 percent, while Guthrie County was sitting at 2.6 percent.
