The Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon to formally welcome a new local health clinic in Dallas Center on Friday.

Dallas County Hospital took over the Broadlawns Dallas Center Clinic on July 1st, and it was renamed DCH Family Medicine Dallas Center. Doctor Nick Palmer is the Medical Director at the new location in Dallas Center. Dr. Palmer has practiced primary care at the DCH Family Medicine in Perry for the last six years and his family has provided care in the Dallas Center area at the clinic. Dallas County Hospital and Family Clinics CEO Angela Martoza said that this new facility will expand their footprint.

“We were approached by Broadlawns months ago about the opportunity to bring the clinic underneath the hospital umbrella. And so when we look strategically and we look at really what our mission is, we want to reach further into Dallas County and serve that community population.”

Doctor Palmer said that patients that he’s talked to have been receptive to the change.

“There’s always some trepidation when switching to a new provider, especially one as good as Dr. (Ronald) McHose and who’s been established here for so long. But I think so far people have been very welcoming and I’m certainly excited.”

The Dallas County Hospital and Family Clinics has locations in Perry, Panora and Dallas Center.
