It’s the last day of River Ruckus in Guthrie Center, but there’s still time to have some fun.

Guthrie County Sheriff Marty Arganbright’s job is to make sure everyone stays safe during the festivities. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio his favorite part of having the celebration in town.

“There’s a lot of good people that come to River Ruckus. Most people are there just to enjoy the week(end) and have fun, and it’s good to see people from all over. You know, to be able to visit with them. And Guthrie Center, Guthrie County gets all these people to come into our county, and we have a lot to offer in Guthrie County, and maybe they’ll come back during the year for other things. So that’s what I like most about River Ruckus, is all the good people that we get to meet.”

Arganbright says that even though they want everyone to have fun while they’re at the concerts, they want everyone to be safe too. He adds that individuals drinking alcoholic beverages should be careful how much they drink, and make sure to also drink water while out in the heat.
