It’s a big weekend for the town of Guthrie Center.

River Ruckus is in full swing, and there’s plenty to do in town to celebrate as well, especially tomorrow morning. The Guthrie Center Lions Club and Orange Lodge Masons will both be holding breakfast fundraisers. The Lions will serve breakfast at the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall from 8-11am, with the meal to include pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee, milk and juice, with meals costing $5 for those 12 and under, and $10 for those 13 and older.

The Masons annual breakfast will include eggs, pancakes, and all the fixings, and is a free will donation meal, with proceeds going to their scholarship fund for Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center seniors. They’ll be serving breakfast from 7-11am at the Guthrie Center Activities Center across the street from Hometown Foods.

The Guthrie Center Farmers Market will also be up and running from 9-11am on North 4th Street in the downtown area. There will be a bloody mary and mimosa bar, live music by local Tommy Bates, Tropical Sno, fresh flowers, local art, candles, fresh baked treats, fresh produce and many more items for sale.
