The Perry Public Library will have a special program to close up their teen summer reading program.

The library will be having their “After-Hours Zombie Battle,” from 6 to 8pm on Friday. Librarian Mindy Farmer says that they will set up a fictional laboratory that’s been overrun with zombies, and teenagers will be tasked with the job of shutting down the lab before getting infected. Farmer tells Raccoon Valley Radio they will encourage teens to dress up for this event.

Remember that this starts right at 6:00(pm) and the doors will shut. So we want teens to arrive early and they can dress up as either scientists ready to battle the hordes or one of the zombies hungry for brains. And they’re going to come in.”

Farmer notes that they will announce their grand prize winners after the zombie battle.
