We continue to follow season statistics for AC/GC Chargers baseball and softball players. For the baseball team, junior Lance Bunde started in all 24 games he played, doling out 76 at bats, 24 runs, 33 hits, 26 singles, 6 doubles, 1 triple, 13 RBI’s and 1 sacrifice bunt. He was walked 12 times and struck out 6 for 41 total bases, and a batting average of .434, an on base percentage of .511 and a slugging percentage of .539. Bunde attempted 17 stolen bases, and was successful on all but one of those attempts.
In the fielding stats, Bunde collected 7 assists, 40 putouts and 3 errors for 50 total chances and a fielding percentage of .930. When it came to pitching, he started 3 of the 4 games he was on the mound for 5.1 innings pitched. Bunde threw 201 pitches to 33 opponents for an opposing batting average of .364, allowing 12 hits, 25 runs of which only 8 were earned, walked 18, hit 2 by pitch and struck out 5 for an ERA of 10.5 and 5.63 walks and hits per inning pitched.
For the softball team, junior Reagan Carney started in 23 of the team’s 26 games, making it to the plate 78 times for 11 runs, 23 hits, 15 singles, 7 doubles, a triple and 20 RBI’s with 1 sacrifice bunt. She was walked 8 times, reached on error 9 times and struck out 18 times for 32 total bases for a batting average of .295, an on base percentage of .360 and a slugging percentage of .410. Carney was successful on both of her stolen base attempts, and collected 11 assists, 76 putouts and 2 errors for 89 total chances, and a fielding percentage of .978.
