A reminder about a couple of opportunities for student-athletes to get an important medical exam done prior to the beginning of the school year.
The Family Medicine Clinic at Greene County Medical Center is offering free sport physicals tomorrow from 3-6pm. No insurance or appointments are necessary, but parents or guardians need to make sure they have their child’s sports physical and parental consent forms with them. Greene County Medical Center CEO Chad Butterfield said at a Greene County Development Corporation meeting that there were close to 20 physicals that were done last week and is hoping for more tomorrow.
Additionally Greene County Public Health will also have their back-to-school clinics tomorrow and August 16th from 4-6:15pm at the public health department at the medical center. The local public health department will also have its weekly immunization clinics every Wednesday from 8am-4:30pm.
Contact each entity if you can’t make their free events and need to schedule an appointment. The departments and numbers are listed below.
