We continue to follow season statistics for AC/GC Chargers baseball and softball players. For the baseball team, freshman Blaize Dorsey started 10 of the 13 games he played in for 22 at bats, leading to 1 run, 4 hits that were singles and 1 RBI, along with 1 sacrifice fly. He was walked once and struck out 5 times for 4 total bases, a batting average and slugging percentage of .182 and on base percentage of .208.

Dorsey attempted 2 steals, but was caught both times, had 5 assists, 5 putouts and 4 errors for 14 total chances and a fielding percentage of .714. When it came to pitching, he pitched in five games for a total of 10 innings, throwing 203 pitches against 48 batters for an opposing batting average of .333. Dorsey allowed 16 hits, 19 runs of which 13 were earned, walked 9 opponents, and struck out 7 others for an ERA of 9.10 and 2.5 walks and hits per inning pitched.

For the softball team, junior Jenna Rowley started in all 26 games for the Chargers, with 82 at bats for 13 runs, 24 hits, 18 singles, 5 doubles, 1 triple and 19 RBI’s. She was walked 5 times, hit by pitch twice, reached on error 7 times and was struck out 15 times for 31 total bases. Rowley recorded a .293 batting average, .348 on base percentage and .378 slugging percentage. She was successful on both of her steal attempts, and tallied 28 putouts and 2 errors for 30 total chances and a fielding percentage of .933.
