Friday, July 14th

3:37am: An officer checked 306 West Reed, after dispatch received a 911 Hang Up Call. It was an accidental dial.

9:57am: ER reported a subject at ER with a bite from a ferret.

10:04am: Cindy Rowland reported a Stray Dog at 911 North Pinet Street. The officer placed the puppy in the Animal Holding Facility and later issued Ryan Brown of Jefferson a citation for, “Animal At Large.”

2:42pm: Officers were assisted by the Sheriff’s Office in executing two Search Warrants at 305 South Walnut Street and 1248 245th Street. Items of paraphernalia and narcotics were seized at both locations. Charges are pending lab results.

Saturday, July 15th

12:03am: An officer investigated a Hit & Run, which occurred at 501 West Greenewood Road. A 2014 Dodge Challenger, owned by Melisse Schilling of Jefferson was struck while parked at the golf course. The vehicle had a reported $5000.00 in damages. The officer is investigating.

12:20am: An officer assisted the Jefferson Fire Department with a fire in the appliance dump site on the Secondary Roads lot near Clark and Grimmell. The fire department extinguished the fire.

1:58am: A nighttime security officer at the fairgrounds located a juvenile on his bicycle in the fairgrounds and asked him to leave, as the fair was closed. The subject’s grandfather came back and yelled at the security guard.

3:31pm: Bill Labath reported a young female knocked on his door at 408 Rushview Drive, asking to use his restroom. He took the young girl around the neighborhood attempting to locate her parents, but was unsuccessful. Officers and deputies checked the area, but did not locate the child. No reports came in of a missing child.

5:23pm: Cheryl McAllister caught a Stray Dog at 607 West Monroe Street. The officer was busy on another call, so McAllister took the dog to the Animal Holding Facility.

11:28pm: The Wild Rose casino advised an intoxicated patron had walked out of the casino, and was now attempting to leave in a vehicle. The officer spoke to subjects in the vehicle and learned a sober driver was giving the subject a ride home for the evening.

Sunday, July 16th

1:29am: A caller reported a shirtless male walking in the roadway in the 400 Block of South Georgia Street. The officer later located the subject sitting on his deck at 708 West Harrison Street.

9:26pm: Dispatch advised of a 911 Hang Up call from 101 West Wilcoxway. The officer learned a child was playing with a phone.
