With the Adair County Fair having come to a close, all that’s left is to look back at who was able to do well in the different events and contests.

Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center graduate and Summit Superstars 4-H member Sophie Dorsey spent her time at the fair mainly taking care of her show cattle, but tells Raccoon Valley Radio about the pictures she submitted for the static exhibits that won her two purple ribbons, and one blue one.

“One of them was of the Washington Memorial in Washington, D.C. The other one was cherry blossoms that I took also in D.C. And the last one was a picture of some river down there.”

Some other results come from different contests at the fair instead of show events. The winners of the Beard and Mullet Contest were Grant Meisenheimer for Best Stash, Cory for Longest Beard, Shane Buckner for Thickest Beard, Jed Esleman for Best Mullet and Carson Eshleman for Longest Mullet. The winner of the Adair County Farm Bureau Cookout Contest was John Jackson, and the sheep barn won the fair’s herdsmanship contest.
