A fundraiser and autograph opportunity is happening tomorrow in conjunction with the Greene County Fair.

Petra Dawson is the Greene County Chair for the Pony Express Riders of Iowa and she tells Raccoon Valley Radio they are having a fill the boot campaign from 4-6pm at the Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County, the intersection of Lincoln Way and Chestnut Street. She encourages anyone to make a free will donation with all proceeds to go toward adults and children with disabilities at Camp Sunnyside in Des Moines. 

Dawson points out this is their first fundraiser of the year and are hoping to have a few more later in the year. Additionally, the Miss Iowa Rodeo Cowboys Association (IRCA) Rodeo Queen Lilian Longhorn and the Pony Express Riders of Iowa Senior Cowgirl Queen Sandra Dawson, who is from Greene County, will be on hand to sign autographs, for a free will donation, near the grandstand entrance on the fairgrounds from 4:30-5:30pm. Petra adds Longhorn will be performing in the Wright Rodeo Company at 7pm and Sandra will be competing in the Iowa State Fair for the Cowgirl Queen Contest.
