Day three of the Adair County Fair is tomorrow, and it’s set to be just as eventful as the previous days.
Starting at 7am, there will be donuts and rolls in the Courtyard provided by Adair County Farm Bureau Financial Services Agent Connie Hohertz. At 8:30am the market lamb feeder pen, market and breeding sheep shows will begin in the Mid-American Arena, and at 9 fairgoers can watch Bear Grove Chainsaw Carving, or the Senior/Veteran’s Day Event which will be at the 4-H/FFA Center.
The Painted Halloween Ornaments Make it and Take it event starts at 10am, along with Toby KID Strolling Entertainment which ends at 4pm, and the quilt show in the Varied Industries Building which ends at 5pm. Starting at 11am is the dog agility contest on the east side of the Fair Shop Building, and the meat goat show at the Mid-American Arena.
At 11:30am in the 4-H/FFA Center results for the crops in the field, on-site garden, bucket of junk, apple pie contest, cookie and cupcake decorating contest events will be announced. Then at noon the second Bear Grove Chainsaw Carving show will take place, along with the Pride of Iowa Contest in the 4-H/FFA Center. Starting at 2pm, there will be the Neck Tie and Adult Coloring Make it and Take it events and interviews for bucket/bottle calf and bottle lamb exhibitors, which will be held in the poultry/rabbit barn.
Bear Grove Chainsaw Carving will have their final show of the day starting at 3pm, and in the upstairs of the Varied Industries Building individuals can participate in a Super Smash Bros gaming competition. Bucket/bottle calf and bottle lamb shows will start at 5pm in the Mid-American Arena, with the Wildwood Hills Ranch Horse Drill Team holding their show in the Grandstand Arena from 6-6:30pm. To finish up the night, the Show Stock Buddies Livestock Show will begin in the Mid-American Arena at 7pm, and Nashville recording artist Eric Chesser will hold a concert in the Pit Area starting at 8pm.
