The Dallas County Fair will have the theme of “Kids Day at the Fair,” for their first full day of activities tomorrow.
There will be roughly 27 different things to do at the fair \ that starts with the 4H and FFA Dairy Goat Show at 7:30am in the Small Animal Building. The Barnyard Bingo Board Sales will be back this year next to the Show Ring at 9am which is put on by the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn FFA Alumni.
At 9:30am the 4H and FFA Goat Show will start in the Show Ring, then at noon is the 4H and FFA Sheep Show and the Clover Kids Bottle Lamb and Goat Show will follow in the Show Ring. Finally, the 4H and FFA Dog Show will get going at 4:30pm in the Show Ring.
Dallas County Fair Secretary Sherry James says that during “Kids Day at the Fair,” they will try to highlight all the daycares in the county along with informative seminars.
“There are also a lot of children’s presentations that are put on that day from different organizations and groups that come out and they try to target the kids on all kinds of things from bike safety and books and all kinds of things. So that’s a pretty exciting day. There’ll be lots of kids out there.”
In the afternoon, the Dallas County Cattlemen will serve steak sandwiches and two sides for $15 from 5 to 8pm at the Entertainment Plaza (if you’re capitalizing other locations on the fairgrounds, go ahead and capitalize Entertainment Plaza). Then at 5:30pm there will be the Barn Buddies and Farm Stories activity at Center Stage. The night entertainment will feature Mutton Busting and Rodeo at 7pm in the South Arena and there will be live country music by Lucas Beebe. Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will be live on location from the Dallas County Fairgrounds from 10am to 6 pm providing results and other. Announcements.
