Next week the Guthrie County Iowa State Extension and Outreach will be hosting an event they’ve done before.
K-12 Coordinator Meghan McBride tells Raccoon Valley Radio of the event they’re repeating on July 18th from 9am to 3pm.
“We are offering Babysitting Basics. Babysitting Basics, just kind of self explanatory. Goes over (the) expectations and responsibilities of babysitting.”
Some of those basics cover caring for infants and younger children, toys, activities and how to handle emergencies. The class will be held at the Extension Office, and is free to attend. The class is geared towards those that are in 5th grade and up.
