fair-queen-4

This year’s Dallas County Fair Queen Contest will introduce eight young ladies and one of them will be crowned on Friday on the fairgrounds.

The candidates include Dallas Center-Grimes graduates Makenna Odegaard, Megan Reck and Lydia Morrin. Adel-DeSoto-Minburn graduates Celia Kreifels and Bailey Renner, ADM senior Bianca Fuquey, Woodward-Granger junior Brinna Orr and West Central Valley senior Camryn Tigges.

Woodward-Granger graduate Mackenzie Dresback was crowned as the 2022 Dallas County Queen. Dresback says that each candidate this year has what it takes to be crowned.

They are doing a really great job. There’s always room for improvement, but they are doing so good. They’ve learned a lot, a lot about communication, manners and etiquette. So I’m really excited to see what the judges think about them. But I’m very proud of them.”

The Dallas County Queen Coronation will take place on the third day of the Dallas County Fair on July 14th beginning at 4:30 pm at the Center Stage on the Dallas County Fairgrounds. The winner will represent Dallas County at its fair and compete at the Iowa State Fair Queen Competition in August.
