was arrested and taken to the Boone County Jail.

1200 block of Orchard Avenue. A 2000 GMC Sierra was a total loss in the fire. The
suspected cause of the fire is fireworks debris and trash that was placed in the back of
the truck.

8:20 am John Cook 55 of Fort Dodge was booked into the jail for pre-trial release
violation.
2:00 pm the Sheriff and deputies, assisted by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office
conducted a search warrant at 113 North 4 th Street, Laneboro. Suspected controlled
substances and drug paraphernalia were located. Charges are pending lab results.

Ronald Rivers of Florida was driving a 2020 Dodge Ram. Rivers turned and struck a
parked 2013 Ford Fusion. The estimated damage to the Dodge was 700 dollars. The
estimated damage to the Fusion is 2000 dollars.

9:07 am a deputy investigated a burglary in the 700 block of Bell Street, Churdan.
11:16 am a deputy investigated a theft in the 300 block of Irving Street, Scranton.
11:53 am a deputy assisted with cattle on the roadway on A Avenue and 340 th Street.
12:00 pm a deputy investigated an accident on 220 th Street near M Avenue. Thomas
Sschililng of Jefferson was driving a 2015 Ford Edge West bound on 220 th Street and
was turning left. Rita Anderson in a 2008 Toyota Highlander was behind Schilling.
Jonathan Forkner of Scranton was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala also west bound
behind the other two vehicles. Forkner attempted to pass and hit Schilling on the
driver side of the vehicle. The estimated damage to the Impalla is 4,000 dollars. The
estimated damage to the Edge is 6,000 dollars. The Highlander was not damaged.
Forkner was issued a citation for unsafe passing.
1:07 pm Thomas Hansen 42 of Scranton was booked into the jail for an arrest warrant
for failure to appear out of Sac County.
1:38 pm a deputy, Greene County Ambulance, and Jefferson Fire responded to a single
vehicle rollover accident on N Avenue near 150 th Street. Jeffery Sauter of Rolfe was
south bound on N Avenue in a 2009 Dodge Ram. The Ram was pulling a trailer with a
skid loader and some large rocks on it. The driver lost control of the vehicle and rolled
once in the west ditch. The truck and trailer were both totaled in the accident. Both
the driver and passenger of the truck were transported by Greene County Ambulance
to the Greene County ER.

4:13 pm a deputy investigated a suspicious person on 220 th Street near J Avenue.
Rebecca Miner 48 of Scranton was arrested for a Polk County arrest warrant for theft
2 nd degree.
6:01 pm Rebecca Miner 48 of Scranton was booked into the jail for theft 2 nd degree.

defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
