The Greene County Conservation Board is inviting the public to an input meeting.

The Squirrel Hollow Master Plan Public Meeting will be held on Tuesday at 6pm at the shelter house. Greene County Conservation Director Tanner Scheuermann talks about some of the plans that they are currently working on.

“We’ll get a plan to kind of improve access to the park. It’ll improve the electrical facilities that are there (along with) water, sewer, we’re looking at putting a small shower house there, and then a dump station of course as well. That way we can hopefully draw more people to the park.”

Scheuermann says Squirrel Hollow Park has lots of historical significance.

“Squirrel Hollow is actually our second oldest county park in the state. It’s actually our first oldest designated for recreational purposes in the state.”

The meeting is open to the public and any feedback, questions or comments can be made.
